Hobro City Camping Gattenborg
With only a ten minute walk to Hobro city and an amazing view overlooking Vesterfjord and Mariager Fjord, you may say that Hobro City Camping Gattenborg is very well located in the heart of Himmerland.
The camping site has several nice spots with platforms/terraces with a spectacular view of Hobro and the beautiful nature surroundings. The spots are a great place for you to have your morning coffee, a nice place to spend an evening with family and friends or just a simple place for relaxing and taking a break from the everyday hustle.
Furthermore the camping site has playgrounds for the kids, a swimming pool, common areas and kitchen facilities.
The camping site is situated close to the highway E45 (but not that close that you can hear the trafic) - with only 3.5 km from the highway, you arrive at the camping site.
There are plenty of opportunities for exploring the nature in the area close to the camping site. The camping site is located close to the city with only one km to the pedestrian street, harbour and the amazing nature surrounding Mariager Fjord. On the south of the fjord you will find the forest Østerskoven and on the north is where the famous hiking trail The PANORAMA-route is located. The hiking trail starts at Hobro Marina and takes you in a loop to Bramslev Bakker and back to Hobro - one way going up hill and the other way alongside the coastline of the fjord.
If you are interested in history and especially the Viking age, then make a visit to the Fyrkat Viking Museum, just about 2-3 km from the camping site.
In Hobro there are plenty of opportunities to experience culture, art, cafés and restaurants. As well as taking a sailing trip on the boat Svanen, which sails on selected days, between Hobro, Bramslev Bakker and Mariager.

Overall Hobro City Camping is a great place for relaxing, but still close to great experiences and activities outside the camping site.
